The adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 is one of the most important steps of the international community to work towards a more sustainable, equal and prosperous future for everyone. In addition, the goals do not only aim at ensuring adequate lives for people, but also protecting the environmental resources of our planet. However, it is also recognized that some of the SDGs are not necessarily working hand in hand and achieving one goal might even reduce the possibility to achieve another. For this reason, UN Environment and Climate CoLab have created a contest that looks for innovative actions to reach different goals at the same time. The contest creates a unique opportunity for individuals and groups around the world to engage directly with the SDGs and assess how to reach them without neglecting other goals.
