The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) is preparing for its annual conference, which in 2010 will be on the theme Campus Initiatives to Catalyze a Just and Sustainable World.
In preparation for the 2012 conference on sustainable development in Rio–20 years after the Rio Earth Summit–the first preparatory committee meeting (PrepCom) was held 17-19 May in New York.

Chafee Memorial Lecture entitled “A New American Environmentalism and the New Economy.
First held in 2009, the Second Conference on Climate Change will be hosted by the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia from 8-10 July 2010, centered on the theme of Climate Change and its Global Implications for people, ethics, and equity.
The National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE) will be hosting their 11th National Conference for Science, Policy and the Environment from January 19-21, 2011 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
