First held in 2009, the Second Conference on Climate Change will be hosted by the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia from 8-10 July 2010, centered on the theme of Climate Change and its Global Implications for people, ethics, and equity.

At the 2009 Copenhagen Conference on Climate Change, UNEP Executive Director, Achim Steiner, presented the ambitious exercise to measure the carbon footprint of the United Nations system.
