The theme for the conference is the state of sustainability in higher education and our role in society as we strive towards global citizenship as organizations and as individuals. Responsible stewardship of the environment, encouraging creativity and scholarship, and strengthening our communities underpins global citizenship and individual excellence – those things that define our place in the world. The Webster University Sustainability Conference aims to create a forum for transdisciplinary discussion and a place for publication of innovative practices, scholarly work, and ideas for sustainability research, practice, curriculum, and opportunities for growth across campuses, organizations and with the community.
