GEG Forum Participants Co-Author Article for BBC

GEG Forum participants, Maurice Strong, founding UNEP Executive Director and Secretary-General of the 1972 UN Conference on the Human Environment and the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, and Felix Dodds, Executive Director of Stakeholder Forum, co-authored, “Reviving the Spirit of Rio” for the British Broadcasting Company (BBC).

Strong and Dodds argue that the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012 presents an opportunity for renewed political action on climate change and biodiversity, among other issues. Through intensified public support, “Earth Summit 2012 can provide a high-profile forum to complete and sign the comprehensive climate change agreement that must emerge” state the authors.
